All I can say it, Waoooo, this guy paid whooping 52.2 Million Dirhams for the plate number: 1 . . .
I’ve been hearing about it since yesterday from everywhere, blogs, newspapers and all . . . just read this article by Badrya Darwish of Kuwait Times . . . Who will buy my sweet red roses?
A interesting quote from this article:
And may I know how they intend to do this. Will they be raiding flower shops and confiscating all the beautiful red roses? And then also going to sweet shops and supermarkets and confiscating all gift items that are wrapped in red and all chocolate boxes in the shape of hearts. That will be the day. And what will they do with all these confiscated items?
Is it important to call all these ministries for such an issue? When you hear that all these ministries are coming, you fear that the country is suddenly in a state of war (God forbid!) or faces a natural disaster like flooding or earthquake or an epidemic or electricity cuts or shortages of water.
Last week we had some family friends visiting us from Dubai and they wanted to eat authentic Kuwaiti Food. I didn’t have any idea where to take them and one day while on our way back from Salmiya I spotted this Kuwaiti Restaurant on this street behind Marina Mall, its located on the first floor of Ahli Bank of Kuwait building.
Resaurant was “packed”and it took us around 20 minutes of waiting to get our table. The food was good but the funniest part was the menu. Can someone please read the below intro and tell me what “exactly” was thing guy trying to say :-)
Another stupid spelling mistake:
& another:
All you can hope for is that you are not the person standing next to this guy !
First of all, here’s a statement from Wataniya’s Website:
“Wnet is the fastest in Kuwait and has security measures that prevent others from accessing your service, not to mention that it is 24/7 unlimited access to the internet! All you need to do is subscribe to Wnet to experience the fastest internet service.”
And I’ve been a loyal customer for more than 6 months now and have subscribed to the service till end of 2008. This incident, well it started at about 11:30pm last night and after failing to connect to internet for 2 hours
I decided to call the “Wataniya Help Desk” at “121″ to inquire if there whole network is down for good. My call was immediately put to hold with this first automated message.
“All agents are busy, please hold and your call will be answered shortly”
After holding for almost 2 minutes, it came again . . .
“Your call is very important to us, please continue to hold and your call will be answered as soon as possible.”
Okay, now I’ve been on hold for almost 5 minutes with three automated messages of “please continue to hold” . . . and than it started with there annoying advertisement messages . . .
7 minutes on hold . . . Still NOTHING . . .
“Please continue to hold” . . .
Its been 10 minutes now and all I hear is “Your call is very important to us, please contniue to hold and your call will be answered as soon as possible.
OK, wait, its ringing, a guy answered with his complete intro in “English” and as soon as I uttered a word, he was so surprised and said, “You Speak English?” I said, Well, YES, thats why I pressed “2″ (For English) when I called up. His answer was amazing. “Let me transfer you to a English speaking person than” . . . WTF
Why the f^%$ did you answer the call in the first place than ? ? ? OK, this time I was on hold for couple of seconds and the new guy said the service will be down till 6:00 in the morning ! WTF . . . According to him, they were “updating” the system and there’s no way I can connect to internet till 6:00am . . .
Now my question is when they can “Spam” our cell phones with those stupid “Advertisement SMS Messages” everyday, why in the world couldn’t they inform there customers about this scheduled interruption? Basically it proves one thing that they don’t gave a damn about there customers !
I fell in love with this song the moment I watched the following Puma advertisement . . .
So far during this winter, the coldest temperature I “personally” noticed has been 7 Celsius. (I can’t say for sure if my car shows it right or not.) Because during summer time in 2007, it would never show temperature more than 50 Celsius. And it used to get there by 2:00pm and thats it.
7 Celsius
50 Celsius
